About the company

The Disabled Workers’ Cooperative “Zgoda” in Konstantynow Lodzki near Lodz, Poland was established in 1951. In 1984 the Cooperative obtained the status of a Sheltered Work Enterprise, which is given to Polish enterprises that provide disabled persons with jobs, as well as with medical and therapeutic facilities.

At the beginning the Cooperative was mainly a manufacturer of textiles. In 1970s, however, the production shifted to personal protective equipment. As a result, the Cooperative currently manufactures:

  • respiratory halfmasks (classes: P1, P2, P3)
  • particle filters (classes: P1, P2)
  • protective gloves
  • thermal underwear.

The products manufactured by the Cooperative are marked with the CE marking, which certifies that they meet the applicable requirements of the European Union law for personal protective equipment.

A part of the Cooperative is its occupational therapy workshop, one of the oldest facilities of this type in Poland. It provides forty disabled persons with psychophysical and occupational rehabilitation so that they will be able to start work in the future.

The Cooperative Enterprise received numerous awards, both for the quality and innovativeness of its products, and for its community service.

Our bottom line is reliability and respect for the law in every task we undertake.
